E muito bem compradas. Actualmente, estão as duas fora de catálogo. Chuck e Jerry Lee são dois dos meus artistas favoritos.
Do Chuck Berry nem falo. É o pai artístico de Keith Richards e nem é preciso dizer mais nada. Chuck é um pioneiro. Guitarrista revolucionário e letrista insuperável. Vi-o ao vivo - finalmente -, este ano, aqui no Rio de Janeiro e vieram-me as lágrimas aos olhos.
Jerry Lee Lewis, a par de Buddy Holly, tem dos timbres de voz mais bonitos que ouvi. De certa maneira "caipira", como diriam os brasileiros, porém absolutamente genuíno. Um dos poucos "originais" da música popular do século XX. Primeiro verdadeiro rebelde do Rock'n'Roll, muito antes de alguém sonhar com os Stooges ou os Sex Pistols. Gosto dele como Rocker - aprendi a tocar e cantar com "Whole Lotta Shakin'" e "Great Balls of Fire" -, mas também, como Country Singer, brincando com as teclas assim ao jeito de Floyd Cramer.
