Durante algum tempo chegou a pensar-se - e escreveu-se - que Mike Sergeant pertencera a esta banda britânica dos anos 60. Não é verdade! Sergeant foi tão-só dos desconhecidos Studio 6 e guitarrista-substituto dos Marmalade.
Mas quem pertenceu aos Hedgehoppers foi antes Tom Fox que mais tarde esteve no Quinteto Académico+2.
Os Hedgehoppers Anonymous, que só tiveram um único êxito na Grã-Bretanha, "It's Good Newsweek" (1965), são uma criação de Jonathan King e eram uma espécie de reformados da Força Aérea de Sua Majestade.

O Jonathan King gravou "Una Paloma Blanca" dos Holandeses "George Baker selection" (King chegou ao nº 5, enquanto os Holandeses atingiram na mesma altura - Set. 1975 - o nº 10)
Under various different names he performed and produced a large number of songs. Among these were "Let It All Hang Out", "It Only Takes A Minute", "Sugar, Sugar", "Loop di Love", "Hooked On A Feeling", "Lazybones" and "The Sun Has Got His Hat On". He produced such hits as "Leap Up And Down Wave Your Knickers In The Air" for St Cecilia and also the Bay City Rollers
He backed The Rocky Horror Show and produced the original cast album.
In 1971, 1972 and 1973 he was named Producer of the Year, according to industry magazine Music Week, beating Mickie Most.
King frequently performed under pseudonyms such as "Shag", "Sakkarin", "Bubblerock", "100 Ton and a Feather" and "Nemo", although in 1975, a rendition under his own name of "Una Paloma Blanca" was named Record of the Year at the Ivor Novello awards.
