GODDESS OF FORTUNE

SPIRITUAL SKY

Side 1

Govinda - Sri Guruvastak - Bhaja Bhakata/Arotrika - Hare Krsna Mantra

Side 2

Sri Isopanisad - Bhaja Hure Mana - Gouinda Jai Jai

Do wiki

Govinda" is a song by British band Kula Shaker, released in 11 November 1996. The song is notable for its heavy Indian influences such as the Tambura and is unique in being the only British Top Ten hit to be sung entirely in Sanskrit.

"The text is taken from a Sanskrit devotional song to Krishna. Govinda jaya jaya literally means Krishna (the Divine Cowherd), Glory, Glory. Govinda was previously recorded by singers from Radha Krsna Temple in a 1970 album produced by George Harrison."

"As Radha Krishna Temple (London), the Temple devotees recorded an album of devotional music with Harrison, which was issued on the Beatles' Apple record label in 1971.

Among these recordings was "Hare Krishna Mantra", an international hit single in 1969 that helped popularise the Maha Mantra in the West. With Harrison's financial support, the Radha Krishna Temple secured its first permanent premises, at Bury Place in central London, before acquiring a country property in Hertfordshire, known as Bhaktivedanta Manor."

The album was subsequently released as Goddess of Fortune on the Spiritual Sky record label[106] and again through the Prabhupada-founded Bhaktivedanta Book Trust.[107]
