Maria Helena Campos Rocha nasceu em Moçâmedes, Angola, no dia 16 de Julho de 1944. Estreou-se em 1965 no programa "Lugar aos Novos".

Foi Fernando de Carvalho que a "descobriu".

Tem talento para vencer e há-de ser alguém nosso restrito panorama musical. Helena Rocha é um nome  fixar, comentou em 1965.

As músicas são bastante curiosas e engraçadas e a voz de Helena Rocha é fresca, elástica, maleável, bonita mesmo. Interpreta com inteligência e vivacidade. Classificação: bom (Flama, 16 de Julho de 1965).
