BURAKA SOM SISTEMA EM 5º, MARIZA EM 8º

A revista britânica Uncut fez um interessante exercício colectivo no sentido de procurar "os melhores de 2008" em diversas áreas e publicou-o em separata ao número deste mês que já tem a data de Janeiro de 2009 (nunca percebi esta mania de antecipar as datas!).

Descobri os portugueses Buraka Som Sistema em 5º lugar com o álbum "Black Diamond" e Mariza em 8º com Terra", na categoria "global albums", ou seja, "world music".

Os três primeiros lugares estão ocupados por Toumani Diabate ("The Mandé Variations"), em 1º, Amadou & Mariam ("Welcome To Mali"), em 2º, e a compilação "Nigeria Rock Special: Psychedelic Afro-Rock & Fuzz In 1970s", em 3º.

De língua portuguesa, vi ainda Seu Jorge com "América Brasil O Disco", em 6º.

Por curiosidade, Damon Albarn, dos Blur, está em 10º com "Monkey: Journey To The West".
