  1. Falta aí "Stop the Cavalary" de Jona Lewie

    Letra:

    Stop The Cavalry lyrics

Hey, Mr. Churchill comes over here
    to say we're doing splendidly
But it's very cold out here in the snow,
marching to win from the enemy
Oh I say it's tough,I have had enough
    Can you stop the cavalry?
I have had to fight, almost every night
    down throughout these centuries
That is when I say, oh yes yet again
    Can you stop the cavalry?
    Mary Bradley waits at home
    in the nuclear fall-out zone
Wish I could be dancing now
in the arms of the girl I love

    Chorus:
Dub a dub a dum dum
    Dub a dub a dum
Dub a dum dum dub a dub
    Dub a dub a dum
Dub a dub a dum dum
    Dub a dub a dum
Dub a dum dum dub a dub
    Dub a dub a dum
Wish I was at home for Christmas

Bang! That's another bomb on another town
While the Czar and Jim have tea
If I get home, live to tell the tale
    I'll run for all presidencies
If I get elected I'll stop - I will stop the cavalry

    Chorus

Wish I could be dancing now
in the arms of the girl I love
    Mary Bradley waits at home
She has been waiting 2 years long
Wish I was at home for Christmas

  2. "Stop the Cavalry" aparece no álbum The Best Christmas Album In The World...Ever!

    Do wikipedia (in English)

    a) The song peaked at number three in the UK Singles Chart in December 1980, at one point only being kept from number one by two re-issued songs by John Lennon, who had been murdered on 8 December.

    b) The song was never intended as a Christmas hit, but the line 'Wish I was at home for Christmas' as well as the brass band arrangements made it an appropriately styled song to play around Christmas time.

    c) Gwalia Singers (Swansea) — a Welsh male voice choir — and the Cory Band recorded a new arrangement of the song

This version remains one of the most requested of all holiday songs in parts of the USA and it has been suggested that it is "probably the most popular song ever by an artist who never had a charted recording

  3. Outra falha na lista de discos improváveis de Natal: "A Spaceman Came Traveling" de Chris de Burgh

    a) Written and recorded by Irish Folk Rock giant Chris de Burgh, "A Spaceman Came Traveling" runs to over five minutes in length, and is one of the most original Christmas songs ever written.

    b) The theme is that the Christmas story of Jesus was inspired by an extraterrestrial visitor.

It may have been inspired in turn by the works of Erich Von Däniken, whose first book on this theme, Chariots Of The Gods, was published in the UK in 1969.
